Bertie Barrett (Batsman)

Profile

Bertie joined the club at 8 years old and made his Senior debut in 2014 aged 13. Now 22 years old, Bertie is the youngest player in the 2023 1st XI squad.

2022 was the breakthrough season for Barrett as he scored 298 runs in the 1st XI promotion campaign, to add to his previous 330 1st XI runs (and 353 runs across other XIs). A part time left-arm off spinner with 5 1st XI Cherwell wickets and renowned slip fielder who’s snaffled some important match winning catches - Bertie can contribute to all aspects of the game.

Q&A

Reasons for playing at LBTCC?

1st XI skipper Dan Scott ran a Chance to Shine cricket course at my school when I was 8 and I loved it. With my dad playing cricket as well, it was inevitable that I’d get into the game.
